Being a vegan for ethical reasons is easy. EXPLAINING ethical veganism to whiny omnivores all day who are sooooo used to being validated is freaking hard. And it sucks.
So stop trying to explain it to those people, I can assure you we don’t care about why…
I have personally been asked by meat-eaters to explain my reasons for being vegan countless times only to be verbally attacked while I’m trying to explain. If they didn’t care they wouldn’t ask. If they didn’t feel like they would lose the argument they started, they wouldn’t start yelling at me.
Well I would like to apologize on behalf of anyone who has treated you that way. Sure, I have asked people who are vegetarian/vegan their reasons, not because I don’t think there are any good reasons, just out of pure curiosity. But I would never attack anyone simply for having different values, ideals, and opinions as me.

This was on my wall just now. I always see ads for meat in the news paper, on TV, and on billboards. I even get ads in the mail from grocery stores where the front page is nothing but pictures of cut up flesh. I am bombarded with this stuff on a daily basis. Can you tell me again how vegans want to force their diets on everyone else?
Because when you say that you’re vegan/vegetarian we say “Sorry, didn’t mean to offend you. Good for you.” When we say we aren’t you say “WHAAAT! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU DON’T SHARE MY OPINIONS!”
Just thought I’d clear that up for you :)
